Applying the "1% digital solidarity" principle Print E-mail
Any public institution or private company can apply the “1% digital solidarity” principle when purchasing goods and services related to information and communication technologies (ICTs).

How does it work?

1. The institution or company informs the Global Digital Solidarity Fund (DSF) of its decision to introduce the “1% digital solidarity” principle in all its calls for bids.
Send the DSF the decision to adopt the “1% digital solidarity” principle , by either email to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or post to the DSF headquarters.
2. The institution or company includes the digital solidarity clause in all its calls for bids for goods or services related to ICTs.

This clause states that suppliers responding to the call for bids undertake to donate 1% of the contract value, deducted from their profit margin, to the DSF.

3. The institution or company informs the DSF of the name of the successful bidder and the value of the contract.
This information is strictly confidential and will not, under any circumstances, be disclosed to any third party.

Complete the information about the contract sheet and send it by either email to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or post to the DSF headquarters.
Both the institution/company and the supplier will receive and benefit from the digital solidarity label , which will serve as testimony of their commitment.
