The regional office for Africa, based on Abuja, Nigeria, is directed by Mr Ayuba Kadafa.

The mission of the regional office is to support the DSF Secretariat in carrying out tasks that specifically concern the African continent, such as to:

• raise awareness among all the actors of African society (national and local authorities, civil society, private sector, the media) regarding the activities of the DSF to reduce the digital divide;
• develop work relations with all the regional and international organizations interested in DSF activities, such as the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Economic Mission for Africa (ECA);
• promote the one percent for digital solidarity principle among public and private stakeholders on the African continent;
• develop effective work relations with the promoters of projects in Africa.
