Resources of the Digital Solidarity Fund
Fund raising Concept
The Digital Solidarity Fund is supplied through financial contributions made by citizens, local (cities and regions) and national public institutions, as well as by donations from private businesses and civil society. The latter categories may include:
-
computer and network equipment manufacturers;
-
software developers;
-
telecommunications operators;
-
distributors of products related to information and communication technologies;
-
civil society associations.
A Digital Solidarity Charter determines
the framework and conditions for participating in this international
solidarity effort, which mission is to give a chance to all people
to have access to the Information Society. In particular, the
Charter states the fund raising modalities, the financing criteria
with regard to all activities of the Fund, as well as the conditions
for a transparent management of its resources.
