POSTPONEMENT OF THE INAUGURAL CEREMONY
(Wednesday 17 November 2004, 17:00, Hôtel des Bergues)
Due to the worsening of the situation in Côte d'Ivoire,
and the call for an extraordinary Summit of the African Union,
Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
and President of the Afican Union, Mr. Thabo Mbeki, President
of the Republic of South Africa, and Alpha Oumar Konaré,
President of the Commission of the African Union, will not be
able to participate in the inaugural ceremony of the International
Digital Solidarity Fund.
Consequently, the inaugural ceremony – initially scheduled
for Wednesday 17 November 2004, at 17:00, at Hôtel des Bergues,
Geneva – has been postponed to a later date.
